No — the U3000 Pro is 3-channel ready. The kit includes the 4K front and 2K rear cameras; the interior (cabin) camera is an optional extra, popular with rideshare and fleet drivers.
What is the difference between the U3000 and the U3000 Pro?
The Pro adds 3-channel readiness (optional interior camera) and an optional LTE module for built-in Thinkware CONNECTED. The standard U3000 is the only current Thinkware model with Rear Collision Warning. Both share the 4K Sony STARVIS 2 front camera and built-in dual radar parking.
Do I need to hardwire it for parking mode?
Parking mode needs constant power. The hardwire kit is included, or choose the plug-and-play OBD-II power cable, or an iVolt battery pack for multi-day parking protection without touching your car battery.
Can I view the U3000 Pro remotely?
Yes, with the optional Thinkware LTE module and a data SIM you get live view, impact notifications and vehicle location from anywhere. Without the module, you connect directly to the camera over dual-band Wi-Fi when in range.
