Does the Q1000 record while my car is parked?
Yes. With the included hardwire cable it records impacts and motion while parked. For the highest level of protection, add the optional U4KRADAR module or an iVolt battery pack so it keeps watching for days without draining your car battery.
Do I need to hardwire it for parking mode?
Parking mode needs constant power. The hardwire cable is included, or you can choose the plug-and-play OBD-II power cable, or an iVolt battery pack for multi-day parking protection without touching your car battery.
