6. ON/OFF Switch – this feature may not seem like a big deal but we think it is. When you hardwire a Dash Cams for parking mode, they will stay on and record when you park. But if you are parked at home or in a secure location and don’t need to record while parked, the only way to shut down other cameras is to pull out the cable. To avoid pulling out cables, FineVu has incorporated a simple on/off switch on the GX1000 so you can shut the camera down easily. No need to pull out the cable if park mode is not required..
7. HDR (high dynamic range) – the FineVu GX1000-2CH HDR feature automatically adjusts bright and dark environmental conditions to optimise video quality
8. Installation Angle Guide – when setting up the camera, the app guides you on the best angle to point the front camera.

Super Intelligent Parking Mode – the FineVu GX1000-2CH Dash Cam offers multiple park mode recording options like traditional motion/impact detection with an important 10 second pre-buffer, smart time lapse and now a new power saving park mode option. In power saving park mode, the GX1000-2CH records a 20 second impact trigger and takes only 1.9 seconds to boot up and record. This technique uses very little power and allows the Dash Cam to stay in park mode for much longer over traditional methods. *Parking mode operation requires installation of the FineVu included hardwire cable into the fusebox 
12. Ai Damage Detection – when using the motion/impact detection park mode feature, the GX1000-2CH Dash Cam knows which area of the car has been hit. The app will show you impacted area of the car so you can investigate the area immediately.
13. Ai Park Mode Heat Monitoring – in a never before seen feature, the GX1000-2CH will automatically use the power saving park mode if it detects the internal car temperature is too high. Without this feature, Dash Cams can shut down while parked to protect themselves from over heating. This means the Dash Cam will stop recording while parked. The FineVu GX1000-2CH will however try and keep park mode operating by switching to power saving park mode to keep itself cooler.
14. Parking Mode Summary. When you re-enter the car from parking mode, a parking mode voice notification lets you know how many impacts were detected in parking mode (if any). This is fantastic as it prompts you to check for any damage on the spot and also download the impact video files straight away via Wi-Fi onto your smartphone.
15. Micro SD card partitioning. The Micro SD card can be partitioned by selecting the % of space dedicated for driving files, parking mode files and impact/event files. The GX1000-2CH Dash Cam has 4 different profiles you can choose from depending on whether you want more space allocated for driving or parking.
16. Dedicated Folder System on the Micro SD card. The GX1000-2CH intuitively stores the driving, parking and event video files in their own folder on the Micro SD card. This means you can navigate your required file much easier.
17. Large, One-Touch SOS button – quickly and easily create an important emergency file. When the large emergency button is pressed, a 20 second file (10 seconds before and 10 seconds after) is separately saved in an emergency folder for easy finding later on.
18. Free FineVu PC Viewer – free PC viewer for Windows and MAC users. The FineVu PC player is companion software that allows you to watch video files on your PC via the sd card and simultaneously view the vehicle location on a google map overlay.

FineVu GX1000-2ch Dash Cam Installation Options:

1. Cigarette Lighter Adapter (included): Easiest method, no technical expertise required. Just plug the cigarette lighter adapter into your vehicle Cigarette lighter socket. Only powers dash cam while car is on, no parking mode features.
2. FineVu OBD-II Power Cable (optional extra): Simple, DIY, Plug and Play into your vehicle’s OBDii port for constant power to allow for parking mode. Easier than hardwiring. No need for costly professional installation. Not compatible with all vehicles such as Teslas and some EV’s.
3. Hardwiring kit (included): Most permanent solution, offers parking mode features. Most difficult option, requires familiarity with car electrical systems. Expect to pay between $200-$400 for professional installation. 
4. Battery Pack ( optional extra): Simple, DIY, Plug and Play. Good option for those who don’t want to hardwire or have a smaller car battery. The battery charges when the car is on via the cigarette lighter charger and then gives power to the dash cam when the vehicle is off.  Can also be used to charge other devices. External battery can be hidden under passenger seat. 

After you have successfully connected the right power cable, the only thing left to do is mount the dash cam to the windscreen and hide the cables through your vehicles trim and seal strips. You can use the supplied cable clips to help.
