Description
The RC3-2K is the rear camera supplied with Elite 8 and Elite 9 2CH systems, available separately — either to upgrade a single-channel Elite to two channels, or as a direct replacement.
At 2K QHD (2560×1440), the rear channel resolves number plates at practical following distances noticeably better than the 1080p rear cameras fitted to BlackVue’s DR-series — a real advantage in nose-to-tail incidents, which make up the bulk of rear-camera footage claims we hear about from customers. Paired with an Elite 9, you get 4K front and 2K rear; on an Elite 8, 2K front and rear.
If you held off on the 2CH system at purchase time, this is the clean upgrade path — the camera, cable and bracket arrive together, and your Elite detects the rear channel automatically once connected.
Compatibility
Elite 9 (1CH/2CH), Elite 8 (1CH/2CH), Elite+ Gold (1CH/2CH). Not compatible with the Elite 10 — that model uses the RC3-4K.
