BlackVue ELITE 9 Dash Cam Installation Options:

Cigarette Lighter Adapter (included): Easiest method, no technical expertise required. Just plug the cigarette lighter adapter into your vehicle cigarette lighter socket. Only powers the dash cam while the car is on, so no Parking Mode features are available with this method.

USB-C Power Cable (included): The ELITE 10 includes a USB-C PD 3.0 power cable, making it suitable for many newer vehicles that support USB-C power connections. This provides a neat and modern installation option for day-to-day driving use.

OBD-II Power Cable (optional extra): Simple DIY plug-and-play solution into your vehicle’s OBD-II port for constant power and Parking Mode support. Easier than hardwiring and suitable for many vehicles, although not all models are compatible.

Hardwiring Kit (included): Most permanent solution and ideal for enabling full Parking Mode functionality. Requires installation into the vehicle fuse box and is best suited to users familiar with vehicle electrical systems or those using a professional installer.

Battery Pack (optional extra): Ideal for users wanting extended Parking Mode protection without relying directly on the vehicle battery. The ELITE 10 is compatible with the BlackVue Ultra Battery range and can provide weeks or even months of standby protection depending on the setup used.

After you have successfully connected the right power cable, the only thing left to do is mount the dash cam to the windscreen and hide the cables through your vehicle’s trim and seal strips. You can use the supplied cable clips to help.
