Exclusive 3-Year BlackVue Manufacturer Warranty — every BlackVue DR770X Box Pro purchased from Dash Cams Australia qualifies for an exclusive 3-year BlackVue manufacturer warranty. After purchase, simply register your dash cam with BlackVue Australia to activate the 3-year camera warranty (accessories and microSD cards carry a standard 12-month warranty).
Buyer beware: unauthorised BlackVue sellers cannot offer the exclusive 3-year BlackVue warranty. Dash Cams Australia is an authorised BlackVue dealer.
The BlackVue DR770X Box Pro is built for drivers who want serious protection without a camera staring back at them from the windscreen. Instead of a single all-in-one unit, the Box Pro splits the system into two parts: small, discreet cameras up front (and optionally inside and at the rear), all wired back to a separate recording “Box” that hides away in your glovebox, under a seat or behind the trim. Your footage, microSD card and power connections sit locked inside that box — out of sight and out of reach.
That design makes the DR770X Box Pro one of the most popular choices for fleets, rideshare and taxi operators, couriers, trades and owner-drivers who need tamper-proof, court-ready evidence and 24/7 parking protection. It records sharp Full HD 1080p at 60fps from a Sony STARVIS sensor, scales up to a 3-channel front, interior and rear setup, and connects to the BlackVue Cloud for live tracking, alerts and remote playback from anywhere in Australia.
If you have been searching for a tamper-proof dash cam, a fleet dash cam, or a front, interior and rear dash cam that will not advertise itself to thieves, the DR770X Box Pro is purpose-built for the job.
On a traditional dash cam, the camera, the controls and the microSD card all live in one unit stuck to your windscreen. Anyone who breaks in can simply pull the camera off the glass, pop out the memory card and walk away with the only copy of the evidence — the footage of themselves.
The DR770X Box Pro removes that weak point. The cameras are tiny and unobtrusive, while the recording brain and storage are sealed inside a separate box you can hide and lock. To protect the footage, an intruder would first have to find the box, then defeat its tamper-proof cover. For anyone whose vehicle is a workplace — or who simply parks in higher-risk areas — that separation is the difference between “we think it was recorded” and “we have the footage”.
Smaller cameras up front, the recording unit hidden away. The DR770X Box Pro keeps your interior clean and gives would-be thieves nothing obvious to target.
Engineered from the ground up to resist interference. The locked, hex-secured camera covers stop cables being unplugged or angles being changed, and the hidden box keeps your microSD card and power supply protected. Your evidence stays exactly where it should — safe.
Start with the included front camera and add what your situation needs. The fully modular design supports up to three cameras in total, so you can cover the road ahead, the cabin and behind you from a single recording box.
Compatible add-on cameras available from Dash Cams Australia:
The front camera records crisp Full HD 1080p at a smooth 60 frames per second, while the Sony STARVIS sensor pulls usable detail out of low-light scenes like dusk, tunnels and unlit streets. Additional rear and interior channels record in Full HD 1080p at 30fps, giving you clear, consistent coverage all around the vehicle.
The DR770X Box Pro includes built-in fleet management features and a longer 10-second pre-event buffer, so the moments leading up to an incident are captured — not just the impact itself. Paired with the BlackVue Cloud and an optional in-cabin IR camera, it gives operators live visibility, driver accountability and tamper-proof evidence across every vehicle.
Let your BlackVue keep watch when you walk away. In Parking Mode the DR770X Box Pro records when it detects motion or an impact, capturing hit-and-runs, trolley dents and break-in attempts while you are parked. The hardwiring cable is included; for the easiest power solution choose the optional OBD-II cable, or add a battery pack to protect your vehicle’s battery during long stays.
With built-in Wi-Fi plus the optional CM100GLTE module (BYO SIM) or a phone hotspot, the DR770X Box Pro connects to the BlackVue Cloud. Check in on your vehicle with remote live view, get instant push alerts when an event is detected, track location and speed via GPS, use two-way voice, and back up important clips to the cloud — all from the free BlackVue app.
Because the recording box installs away from the sun-baked windscreen, it runs cooler and more reliably through a hot Australian summer. The DR770X Box Pro is rated for storage temperatures up to 80°C and includes high-temperature cut-off protection for added peace of mind.
Manage everything from the free BlackVue App (iOS and Android) and BlackVue Viewer (Windows, macOS and Web). Stream, review, filter, export and back up your footage, and adjust settings with minimal fuss.
Fleets and businesses. If your vehicles are your livelihood, the Box Pro’s tamper-proof design, built-in fleet features, cloud connectivity and optional in-cabin IR camera deliver the accountability and protection you need across every driver and vehicle.
Rideshare, taxi and courier drivers. Add the interior IR camera for clear cabin footage day or night, keep the recording box hidden and locked, and rely on cloud alerts for incidents on and off the clock.
Trades and owner-operators. Utes and vans are frequent targets. The hidden box and 24/7 parking mode help protect your vehicle, tools and reputation whether you are on site or parked overnight.
Everyday drivers who value discretion. Want all the protection of a premium BlackVue without an obvious camera on the glass? The Box Pro keeps your cabin clean and your evidence secure.
Cigarette Lighter Adapter (included): The easiest method, with no technical expertise required — just plug into your 12V socket. Powers the dash cam only while the car is running, so Parking Mode is not available with this method.
OBD-II Power Cable (optional extra): A simple, DIY plug-and-play option into your vehicle’s OBD-II port for constant power and Parking Mode — no hardwiring or professional install required. Not compatible with every vehicle (including Teslas and some EVs).
Hardwiring Kit (included): The most permanent solution and ideal for full Parking Mode functionality. Best installed by an auto electrician familiar with vehicle fuse boxes (expect roughly $200–$400 for professional installation).
Battery Pack (optional extra): A DIY plug-and-play way to run extended Parking Mode without drawing on your vehicle battery. The pack charges while you drive and powers the dash cam when the car is off; it can be hidden under a seat.
Once the right power cable is connected, simply mount the cameras, then tuck the cabling into your vehicle’s trim and seal strips using the supplied cable clips. For a complete walkthrough, see our Ultimate Dash Cam Installation Guide.
Note: most third-party microSD cards are not recommended in BlackVue dash cams due to performance issues — we recommend genuine or BlackVue-approved cards. We also recommend the hardwire cable be installed by a qualified auto electrician.
It can be. It ships as a 1-channel front system and expands to a true 3-channel front, interior and rear setup — just add the compatible rear (RC1-C), external rear (ERC1-C) and/or interior IR (RC1-IR-C) cameras, up to three cameras in total on the one recording box.
Two things. First, the recording box — with your microSD card and power connections inside — hides away from view and can be locked. Second, the camera covers are secured with a hex screw so cables cannot simply be unplugged and angles cannot be changed. Together they make it far harder for anyone to remove or interfere with your footage.
No — the DR770X Box Pro records sharp Full HD 1080p at 60fps on the front camera. That resolution keeps file sizes manageable for long parking-mode and fleet recording while still capturing clear, readable detail. If you specifically want 4K, ask us about BlackVue’s 4K models and we will help you compare.
Yes. Parking Mode records on motion or impact while you are parked, and the hardwiring cable is included. For the simplest setup choose the optional OBD-II cable, or add a battery pack to keep parking protection running without drawing on your vehicle battery.
You need an internet connection for the BlackVue Cloud. That can be a phone hotspot, or — for always-on connectivity — the optional CM100GLTE module with your own SIM. Once connected you get remote live view, push alerts, GPS tracking, two-way voice and cloud backup.
It is one of our most recommended options for exactly that. The hidden, tamper-proof box, built-in fleet management features, cloud connectivity and optional in-cabin IR camera make it ideal for fleets, rideshare, taxis, couriers and trades.
It comes with a genuine 64GB microSD card. BlackVue officially rates the DR770X Box Pro for microSD cards up to 512GB — you can choose a larger genuine or compatible card using the “Upgrade Memory Card” option above. We recommend genuine or BlackVue-approved cards for reliable performance.
It is designed not to. When hardwired, the dash cam switches to Parking Mode when the ignition is off and shuts down at a preset voltage cut-off to protect your battery. For long stays or smaller batteries, an external battery pack keeps your vehicle battery untouched.
Not necessarily. The cigarette-lighter and OBD-II options are DIY plug-and-play. The included hardwiring kit is the cleanest, full-feature option and is best fitted by an auto electrician. See our installation guide for details.
An exclusive 3-year BlackVue manufacturer warranty when you buy from Dash Cams Australia (register your camera with BlackVue Australia after purchase). Accessories and microSD cards carry a standard 12-month warranty.
