The notable features of the FineVu GX35-2CH Dash Cam are:

1. Premium 2K 1440P Quad HD resolution + 5.1 MP Sony Starvis 2.0 sensor in the front camera. Thanks to the next generation Sony Starvis 2.0 image sensor, the front camera video quality has been tuned to provide better video quality under challenging lighting conditions. On top of the world class Sony Starvis 2.0 sensor, the GX35-2CH boasts 2K 1440P QHD front camera resolution + a 5.12MP lens. These are serious specs at this price point. The 2.oMP rear camera resolution is 1080P FULL HD and contains a GalaxyCore CMOS sensor.

5. Swivel Mount – FineVU have supplied the front camera with a front swivel mount which we love. If you need to record anything at your side windows you can swivel the GX35 left, right, up and down. Most Dash Cams these days are locked in position facing forward and have no left or right movement.
6. Video Tagging – the FineVu GX35-2CH videos can be labelled with imprinted text. For example you can label the videos with “Dad’s car” or the number plate of the vehicle the Dash cam is recording in. Useful feature to identify who was driving at the time.
7. ON/OFF Switch – this feature may not seem like a big deal but we think it is. When you hardwire a Dash Cams for parking mode, they will stay on and record when you park. But if you are parked at home or in a secure location and don’t need to record while parked, the only way to shut down other cameras is to pull out the cable. To avoid pulling out cables, FineVu has incorporated a simple on/off switch on the GX35-2CH so you can shut the camera down easily. No need to pull out the cable if park mode is not required..
8. Auto Night Vision + HDR technology – the smart Ai of the FineVu GX35-2CH Dash Cam constantly assesses the environment and automatically optimises the video quality settings in darker conditions.
9. Inbuilt Wi-Fi Connectivity & Free FineVU App enables the FineVu GX35-2CH to connect to a compatible smartphone (iOS and Android*). The free FineVu App is easy to use and allows you to change settings and stream/download video files when next to the camera.
10. Supercapacitors are used rather than lithium ion batteries to excel in heat resistance and heat durability, especially when recording while parked in a hot car.
11. Super Intelligent Parking Mode – the FineVu GX35-2CH Dash Cam offers multiple park mode recording options like traditional motion/impact detection with an important 10 second pre-buffer, smart time lapse and a power saving park mode option. In power saving park mode, the GX35-2CH records a 20 second impact trigger (any motion after the impact is also recorded). This technique uses very little power and allows the Dash Cam to stay in park mode for much longer over traditional methods. *Parking mode operation requires installation of the FineVu included hardwire cable into the fusebox 
12. Ai Park Mode Heat Monitoring – in a never before seen feature, the GX35-2CH will automatically use the power saving park mode if it detects the internal car temperature is too high. Without this feature, Dash Cams can shut down while parked to protect themselves from over heating. This means the Dash Cam will stop recording while parked. The FineVu GX35-2CH will however try and keep park mode operating by switching to power saving park mode to keep itself cooler.
13. Parking Mode Summary. When you re-enter the car from parking mode, a parking mode voice notification lets you know how many impacts were detected in parking mode (if any). This is fantastic as it prompts you to check for any damage on the spot and also download the impact video files straight away via Wi-Fi onto your smartphone.
14. Micro SD card partitioning. The Micro SD card can be partitioned by selecting the % of space dedicated for driving files, parking mode files and impact/event files. The GX35-2CH Dash Cam has 4 different profiles you can choose from depending on whether you want more space allocated for driving or parking.
15. Dedicated Folder System on the Micro SD card. The GX35-2CH intuitively stores the driving, parking and event video files in their own folder on the Micro SD card. This means you can navigate your required file much easier.
16. Large, One-Touch SOS button – quickly and easily create an important emergency file. When the large emergency button is pressed, a 20 second file (10 seconds before and 10 seconds after) is separately saved in an emergency folder for easy finding later on.
17. Free FineVu PC Viewer – free PC viewer for Windows and MAC users. The FineVu PC player is companion software that allows you to watch video files on your PC via the sd card and simultaneously view the vehicle location on a google map overlay.

FineVu GX35-2ch Dash Cam Installation Options:

1. Cigarette Lighter Adapter (included): Easiest method, no technical expertise required. Just plug the cigarette lighter adapter into your vehicle Cigarette lighter socket. Only powers dash cam while car is on, no parking mode features.
2. FineVu OBD-II Power Cable (optional extra): Simple, DIY, Plug and Play into your vehicle’s OBDii port for constant power to allow for parking mode. Easier than hardwiring. No need for costly professional installation. Not compatible with all vehicles such as Teslas and some EV’s.
3. Hardwiring kit (included): Most permanent solution, offers parking mode features. Most difficult option, requires familiarity with car electrical systems. Expect to pay between $200-$400 for professional installation. 
4. Battery Pack ( optional extra): Simple, DIY, Plug and Play. Good option for those who don’t want to hardwire or have a smaller car battery. The battery charges when the car is on via the cigarette lighter charger and then gives power to the dash cam when the vehicle is off.  Can also be used to charge other devices. External battery can be hidden under passenger seat. 

After you have successfully connected the right power cable, the only thing left to do is mount the dash cam to the windscreen and hide the cables through your vehicles trim and seal strips. You can use the supplied cable clips to help.
